Music Magazines

Trouser Press and Rock Magazines are amongst the collections of music magazines here in our house. My husband is the one who loves to read these magazines. It so happened that I love music and I love reading music trivia, too.

Music is a part of our relationship. When we were just starting to date online, we were always talking about music and trivia. Fortunately, I am a music geek since I was in elementary.

These music magazines are only some of his collections. We have a library here that are all about music. Rock bands and rock history, it's rise and fall. Name the magazine, and you can find it. Those are my husband's precious.

Goldmine music magazine is free-delivered here at home and so as Rolling Stone, because my husband is a member of Records Collector Show. So, we really need not to buy these things in stores or online. That is the advantage of being a member of any Records Collector Show Program.

From 1950's to present, you can learn something new if you are a one music magazine enthusiast. You can feel the spirit of the music during those era. I am glad that I am a music and trivia lover, being knowledgeable to music was the one that binds between my husband and me.

Update: All the magazines that I have featured here are not free delivered, but are subscribed by my husband. He subscribed membership and so it is delivered at home once there is a new magazine out.

Eligible To Work

Hello, friends. I just wanna share another accomplishment that I have made this month. I received my Social Security Number this morning. My fiance and I went to Social Security Administration last Tuesday and applied for my Social Security Number. we arrived there at around 9:30 in the morning. There were a long line of people waiting for their numbers to be called.

At exactly 10:30 AM, my number was called and the interview did not take long. In less than 5 minutes, I was told by the person in charge of my application that they would be processing my SSN application and they will mail it within 10 days. Today is Thursday, and I received my SSN in less than 10 days.

I am under K1 Fiance visa. I was so glad that I am eligible to work here in the US, but of course, I have to inform SSA after my fiance and I got married. That time, I can also change my status.

If you are like me that is under K1 visa and you also wanna work when you get here in the US. All you need to submit to the SSA is your passport and your visa and your I-94. You will get your I-94 when you get here, so do not panic in asking where would you get that I-94.

After you applied for your SSN, you are now eligible to work.

My Pets Makes Music To My Ears

Ohhh... what a lovely pictures. My cute little puppies.

I saw this pictures while cleaning my photo storage this morning. It made me smile and it made me sad. Gosh! I am missing my pets so much. I am wondering how big are these pups now?

Chito, my cat. Such an adorable fellow. I remember, he knows when I am feeling sad and low. He would come to me and sniff-sniff. Then, he would stay beside me until I gets better. How I missed my Chito. He is such a loud cat. If you have seen Tiggy in youTube and heard saying "Hello"? Chito can do more than that. Unfortunately, I didn't have videocam before.

It may take a while before I can get to see them. It's sad yet so much of a good memories together though.

Pepper is my dog. I was surprised when my brother told me that Pepper was pregnant. After 5 years?! But, look what she just brought us? There were 10 puppies, actually. I just caught this picture when these 4 pups were trying to satisfy their hunger. Such a lovely little fellows.

Lights

When I first heard the music of LIGHTS, I was like "Woah! whatta voice!" I don't know much of this artist but the voice has captured my taste, and the music. This CD consists of 6 beautiful and well-rendered songs. All clean and lyrics are from the heart.

There's a quotation written in the inner cover of the CD and it was saying that

"Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the forces and powers of the dark world."

If you would find her interesting and I know you would, you can watch her video and enjoy the music of Lights. You can know more about her by visiting her website.

My Valuables

My mother was against me collecting CD's. She would always tell me where do I put all this "mess"? But, music is a part of my life. My CD's and my DVD's are my valuables. They are my treasures.

I remember when I was in second year high school. I had a fight with one of my male classmates because he was teasing me that Bruce Springsteen was a midget. Then I gone mad! I hit his ugly face! And we ended up at the guidance councilor's office. After that incident, that male classmate became one of my close friends.

Long Lost Posters

Do you have your a posters and banners of your favorite bands and singers from the past? I have found one of my favorites when we attended the record collectors show yesterday. I love The Who. The band from U.K.

It was my first time to attend a record collectors show and I was so amazed by the show because I have seen some of the posters that I have been wanting to have since I was in high school. You want Bob Marley? They have Bob Marley posters and other stuff. It was a great show.

Record and CD Collectors Show

My fiance and I attended a CD collectors and record show this afternoon. It was held at Quality Inn, in E. Grand River, Lansing MI. Ken is the organizer of the record show. Such an approachable nice man. I asked him if I can take pictures of the collections and he gleefully allowed me to do it so.

I forgot to ask his name, he has a long table in the record show and he also sell collectors item.

There's a lot of different stuff. From CD's to DVD's, t-shirts, novelty shirts you can rarely find. Pins and badge and frames. Vinyl records from 45 to long playing. Books, song magazines and posters.

All the songs and artists that I have never heard was listed. From 50's to present, name it and they have it.

Music From The Past

Captain Beyond. When I first heard of this name, I thought it was another movie about superhero like "Superman". But to my surprise, Captain Beyond is a band name. Captain Beyond was Super Heroes of progressive rock in the year 1977, though.
Of course, if there was rock, there was also disco. And we call it now retro. Classic disco hits from the 80's. "I Love The Nightlife" and "Hot Stuff" are among my favorites.
Oldies But Goodies, Rhythm and Blues, Rock and Ballad are in my lists.
