Black Eyed Peas At SLN Tonight, LIVE!

I love watching SLN or Saturday Night Live. The cast are so funny. I think it is the most hilarious late night show I have seen since Jerry Lewis Show. Well, I have watched Jerry Lewis Show reruns only, but it is still very funny and I love that guy so much.

Anyways, Black Eyed Peas was the guest at SLN tonight and they performed their song "Meet Me Halfway". My first time to hear the song and I can say that it is really catchy and so awesome. Nice to see them all performing, with Fergie on vocals. Such a great talent.

Forget not to mention, Apl D' Ap, Allan Pineda in real life. Apl D' Ap is half-black American and half-Filipino. I am so proud of him and seeing him performing in national TV. He is famous along with the group, alright. But still, it is a fulfillment for us, filipinos, that we have our kababayan who is not forgetting his roots, performs and making a big name here in the US.

You can see in his eyes, how down to earth Apl D' Ap is. Keep up the good work, Allan. Make your countrymen so proud of you and we are also proud that you made it where you are now.

"Meet Me Halfway" by BLACK EYED PEAS

Oooooo...
I can't go any further then this
OOoooo...
I want you so badly, it's my biggest wish

Cool,
I spent my time just thinking, thinking, thinking 'bout you
Every single day, yes, I'm really missing, missing you
And all those things we used to, used to, used to, used to do
Hey girl, wassup, it used to, it used to be just me and you
I spent my time just thinking, thinking, thinking 'bout you
Every single day, yes, I'm really missing, missing you
And all those things we used to, used to, used to... (Used to do)
Hey girl wassup,
Yo, wassup, wassup, wassup

Can you meet me halfway, right at the borderline
That's where I'm gonna wait...for you
I'll be looking out, night and day
Took my heart to the limit
And this is where I'll stay
I can't go any further than this
I want you so bad, it's my only wish

Girl, I travel round the world and even sail the Seven Seas
Across the universe, I go to other galaxies
Just tell me where to go, just tell me where you wanna meet
I navigate myself-myself to take me where you be
'Cause girl I want, I-I-I want you right now
I travel uptown-town, I travel downtown
Wanna have you around-round, like every single day
I love you always-ways, I'll meet you halfway

Can you meet me halfway, right at the borderline
[ Black Eyed Peas Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
That's where I'm gonna wait...for you
I'll be looking out, night and day
Took my heart to the limit
And this is where I'll stay
I can't go any further than this
I want you so bad, it's my only wish
I can't go any further than this
I want you so bad, it's my only wish

Let's walk the bridge to the other side
Just you and I (Just you and I)
I will fly, fly the skies, for you and I (For you and I)
I will try, until I die, for you and I
For you and I (For you and I)
For-for-for you and I (For you and I)
For-for-for-for you and I (For you and I)
For-for-for you and I (For you and I)
(For you and I)

Can you meet me halfway
Can you meet me halfway
Can you meet me halfway
Can you meet me halfway

Meet me halfway, right at the borderline
That's where I'm gonna wait...for you
I'll be looking out, night and day
Took my heart to the limit
And this is where I'll stay
I can't go any further than this
I want you so bad, it's my only wish
I can't go any further then this
I want you so bad, it's my only wish

This Is It

I watched Michael Jackson's "This Is It" movie this afternoon. Since the first day I have heard from HLN news that MJ's rehearsals for his concert is going to be shown in theaters, I never had a second thought to watch the movie. I have been a big MJ fan since I was in high school. I was so excited to see the movie, though I knew that it was the last of Michael. The man istruly a legend. He would always show compassion to all the people he had worked with. He used the word L-O-V-E. He said that he is doing his thing with LOVE. His dancers and back-up vocals are all new talents, these talents auditioned to be a part of MJ's This Is It concert. He mentioned that he always wanna help new talents. Such an amazing person.

While watching the movie, for a moment, I forgot that the man is no longer alive. There was a rumor before that Michael Jackson never sings live in any of his concerts. I can say that it was not true. On that rehearsal-movie, he was singing LIVE while dancing. I don't wanna say more about the movie. If you have not seen it yet, you got to go and see it. This Is It the movie will be shown for two weeks only. You will never regret it, contrary to what the other reviews have said.

Being away for so long

I have been away for quite a while, and I know that I have missed so many new things in the blogging world. Being married is not an easy task, I would say. Unlike before, I do not care anything but myself. Now, I have to think of my husband and other things around the house.

I also now have a regular job that keeps me busy everyday. So, my internet life is very limited, agh! I tried to go online once in a while, though. What I really miss in my internet world are my online friends, my blogging friends and my money making. I have so many things to share, folks.

Just right now, I have thought of going back to writing articles. I have been out for a few months and I am missing writing articles online. I submits the articles to ReviewStream and Factoidz. I also have an account to eHow but I really don't know how to start writing there, LOL. Associated Content is one good writing article site, too, but I thought of sticking with Factoidz since they have paid me several times already.

Anyways, Just want to say that I miss the world of blogging so I am going back to my life again. Miss y'all, dudes!

Happy Halloween!!!

Hey, pals! I have another discovery here to share with you all. We are all aware that Ramon Magsaysay was a great President of the Philippines. I don't want to mention how he passed away, I want us all to remember how great a president he was. I wasn't born yet when he was the president but I remember when my grandfather told me about his works and how he was loved by the masses.

Well, let me go back to what this post is all about. I was watching night showbiz news the other night and they had this interviews about stars, they talked about fashions. This name caught my attention, MELISSA MAGSAYSAY. So pinoy, isn't it? She was the one interviewing all this hollywood stars and so I told myself, "I am going to check on that name and google her." That's what I did. And my, oh my! I wasn't so surprised when I found out that she is related to the late great Ramon Magsaysay. Yes, Ramon Magsaysay is her great uncle.

Melissa Magsaysay is a fashion market editor and assistant-editor in Los Angeles Times. How about that? I am so happy and feeling so proud every time I learn and know something new about my fellow countrymen.

Kris Allen is the New American Idol

Everyone was waiting for the result of American Idol last night. There are some who wanted Adam Lambert to win and some are Kris Allen's fans. I would be honest, I never liked Kris Allen. I can listen to his voice but his facial expressions annoyed me so much.

I read from one magazine, Simon Cowell predicted that it was Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert in the finals. Meaning, he never foresaw Kris Allen as the next Idol. But, when I watched the finale last Tuesday, I had a feeling that it is Kris who will bag the title of the next American Idol. It's all because of his fine and hair-raising rendition of the song "No Boundaries" that was written by Kara DioGuardi.

He sang it so good! As if it was his own song. I was moved by Kris Allen's performance of "No Boundaries". I even can still hear it till now as I am making this blog about his winning.

Congratulations, Kris Allen. You deserved to win.

Matt Giraud: Pride Of Michigan

Matt Giraud is from Kalamazoo, Michigan. Not very far from where I am now, hehe... Matt is my personal favorite, not just because he is from Michigan but he is a good and talented performer. He is performig here in one bar here in Kalamazoo.

Matt Giraud was on the second batch of 12 contestants in American Idol 8 but he did not make it. Michigan was hoping and praying that he would make it on the wild card. And he did it!

He is one of the 7 finalists but tonight, April 15, he got the lowest vote and he was given the chance to sing for hi life. I know and we know that Simon Cowell would give him that chance to make till the end of the contest. Simon Cowell gave Matt Giraud a third chance. Simon Cowell believed in Matt Giraud and he don't want him to go yet. Simon knows that there are so many things that Matt can give, and so as Kara Diogardi.

Matt Giraud didn't help himself, he broke to tears, tears of happiness. He is so blessed. From wild card to magic card. Go, go, go, Matt!

The Boss In Super Bowl

Bruce Springsteen is my all-time favorite rock artist. He is The Boss and he is my Boss when it comes to rock. He sang in Super Bowl together with the E Street Band, he has been collaborating with this band for all of his career. And they are doing really good. I love them.

It was my first time to see Bruce Springsteen performs LIVE on T.V. and I was so amazed that I can see my "Boss" singing Live on T.V. tonight. He sang Born To Run and Glory Days. The Boss rock the night away.

Super Bowl was held in Tampa, Florida. My first time to watch Super Bowl and my first time to see Bruce Springsteen singing live on television. Woooooohhhh...

Music Magazines

Trouser Press and Rock Magazines are amongst the collections of music magazines here in our house. My husband is the one who loves to read these magazines. It so happened that I love music and I love reading music trivia, too.

Music is a part of our relationship. When we were just starting to date online, we were always talking about music and trivia. Fortunately, I am a music geek since I was in elementary.

These music magazines are only some of his collections. We have a library here that are all about music. Rock bands and rock history, it's rise and fall. Name the magazine, and you can find it. Those are my husband's precious.

Goldmine music magazine is free-delivered here at home and so as Rolling Stone, because my husband is a member of Records Collector Show. So, we really need not to buy these things in stores or online. That is the advantage of being a member of any Records Collector Show Program.

From 1950's to present, you can learn something new if you are a one music magazine enthusiast. You can feel the spirit of the music during those era. I am glad that I am a music and trivia lover, being knowledgeable to music was the one that binds between my husband and me.

Update: All the magazines that I have featured here are not free delivered, but are subscribed by my husband. He subscribed membership and so it is delivered at home once there is a new magazine out.

Eligible To Work

Hello, friends. I just wanna share another accomplishment that I have made this month. I received my Social Security Number this morning. My fiance and I went to Social Security Administration last Tuesday and applied for my Social Security Number. we arrived there at around 9:30 in the morning. There were a long line of people waiting for their numbers to be called.

At exactly 10:30 AM, my number was called and the interview did not take long. In less than 5 minutes, I was told by the person in charge of my application that they would be processing my SSN application and they will mail it within 10 days. Today is Thursday, and I received my SSN in less than 10 days.

I am under K1 Fiance visa. I was so glad that I am eligible to work here in the US, but of course, I have to inform SSA after my fiance and I got married. That time, I can also change my status.

If you are like me that is under K1 visa and you also wanna work when you get here in the US. All you need to submit to the SSA is your passport and your visa and your I-94. You will get your I-94 when you get here, so do not panic in asking where would you get that I-94.

After you applied for your SSN, you are now eligible to work.

My Pets Makes Music To My Ears

Ohhh... what a lovely pictures. My cute little puppies.

I saw this pictures while cleaning my photo storage this morning. It made me smile and it made me sad. Gosh! I am missing my pets so much. I am wondering how big are these pups now?

Chito, my cat. Such an adorable fellow. I remember, he knows when I am feeling sad and low. He would come to me and sniff-sniff. Then, he would stay beside me until I gets better. How I missed my Chito. He is such a loud cat. If you have seen Tiggy in youTube and heard saying "Hello"? Chito can do more than that. Unfortunately, I didn't have videocam before.

It may take a while before I can get to see them. It's sad yet so much of a good memories together though.

Pepper is my dog. I was surprised when my brother told me that Pepper was pregnant. After 5 years?! But, look what she just brought us? There were 10 puppies, actually. I just caught this picture when these 4 pups were trying to satisfy their hunger. Such a lovely little fellows.

Lights

When I first heard the music of LIGHTS, I was like "Woah! whatta voice!" I don't know much of this artist but the voice has captured my taste, and the music. This CD consists of 6 beautiful and well-rendered songs. All clean and lyrics are from the heart.

There's a quotation written in the inner cover of the CD and it was saying that

"Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the forces and powers of the dark world."

If you would find her interesting and I know you would, you can watch her video and enjoy the music of Lights. You can know more about her by visiting her website.

My Valuables

My mother was against me collecting CD's. She would always tell me where do I put all this "mess"? But, music is a part of my life. My CD's and my DVD's are my valuables. They are my treasures.

I remember when I was in second year high school. I had a fight with one of my male classmates because he was teasing me that Bruce Springsteen was a midget. Then I gone mad! I hit his ugly face! And we ended up at the guidance councilor's office. After that incident, that male classmate became one of my close friends.

Long Lost Posters

Do you have your a posters and banners of your favorite bands and singers from the past? I have found one of my favorites when we attended the record collectors show yesterday. I love The Who. The band from U.K.

It was my first time to attend a record collectors show and I was so amazed by the show because I have seen some of the posters that I have been wanting to have since I was in high school. You want Bob Marley? They have Bob Marley posters and other stuff. It was a great show.

Record and CD Collectors Show

My fiance and I attended a CD collectors and record show this afternoon. It was held at Quality Inn, in E. Grand River, Lansing MI. Ken is the organizer of the record show. Such an approachable nice man. I asked him if I can take pictures of the collections and he gleefully allowed me to do it so.

I forgot to ask his name, he has a long table in the record show and he also sell collectors item.

There's a lot of different stuff. From CD's to DVD's, t-shirts, novelty shirts you can rarely find. Pins and badge and frames. Vinyl records from 45 to long playing. Books, song magazines and posters.

All the songs and artists that I have never heard was listed. From 50's to present, name it and they have it.
